Because the balloons are kept together in a 4 cluster set they can be made ahead of time or made by many people to aid in the final assembly. Once the clusters are made, they can be rotated or moved as necessary to get the balloon colors to follow the final color scheme.
Determine what type of design you want to make. The Internet is a great source for ideas and many times complete detailed instructions. Once you have determined the design, calculate the amount of balloons needed and the amount and type of discs that are needed.
The basic concept of the system is that a clear plastic disc is used to hold four balloons in a cluster and that cluster is slid over a wire, string or hard tubing combining with many other clusters until the desired shape is achieved.
Traditional methods require that you tie four balloons together then twist them around the string, wire or pole. This method can result in popping of balloons and can be very confusing. It is also difficult to move the balloons around as necessary to get the color flow.
The basic concept of the Balloon Disc system is that the balloon knot flange is pushed into a pre-punched hole in a disc, the disc is used to hold four balloons in a cluster. The cluster is slid over a wire, string or hard tubing combining with many other clusters until the desired shape is achieved.
Tie a knot in the balloon and insert the flange of the balloon into the disc
Combine 4 balloons into a single cluster
Slide the cluster onto a PVC pole or onto a wire or string.
Combine multiple clusters to make the desired design.
